One of a pair of decorative chimney-pieces in the late 18th century Roman Manner. These incorporate decorative antique marbles, Augustan Antique Black and White Granite to the panels and Breccia d'Alep marble to the plinth blocks. The statuary marble is a very pure white and the ornaments to the panel edges and the pateraes to the blockings are gilded ormolu (click image to enlarge) Aperture Height: 39 ¾” 1010 mm |
